Antique vintage pure brass hand mirror. It is a gorgeously carved metal with smooth finishing. The decoration on the back of the is very detailed and is a replica of a seashell. Around the mirror is a scalloped edge, and along the handle is a beaded edge. Both the front and back of the handle is a two-headed eagle, believed to be the symbol of imperial Russia. The condition is excellent. The mirror is pristine; no chips or cracks. The metal ware is without dents, breaks, bends or other problems. There are no maker's marks, monograms or other identifying information. We estimate that this beautiful lady's vanity item was manufactured circa 1880/1890.It is assumed to be old as centuries.
